Sometimes we need to be reminded of WHO God is. From the heart of our Father...
Our God is the one who satisfies every living thing. He is the living water to our thirst. He is faithful to all he has made. He is kind and abundantly good to His children.
And He calls us to worship him in spirit and truth. In spirit and truth worship is worship that rises and cries from within. It's a true and pure response and overflow of His closeness to our soul and spirit. Where deep cries out to deep, and we cry out to the living God. A place deep within that yearns for Him and that longs to give Him praise and glory. To give Him the adoration and devotion that He is so worthy of.
Worship of our living God is not a matter of doing for God. Worship of our living God is precious moments where we just BE with Him. We come into the sanctuary, the presence of God, and we rest in Him. We fix our eyes on Him. We sing of his goodness. We tell of his greatness. And we declare His faithfulness. And we worship. We adore.
I will praise you, God, as long as I live. As long as I have breath in my body, I will sing praises to you. And I will continue to praise you though eternity.
My trust is not in man, for man is fleeting and withers as the grass in winter.
My trust is not in money for it will fade and will never satisfy my soul.
You alone can satisfy my soul and my spirit.
With that in mind, my trust is in King of Kings. You are my hope. The one who created the heavens and earth. The one who is just and brings justice. The one who not only satisfies my soul and spirit, but my body as well.
You, God set the captive free. You lift up of those that are broken hearted. Those whose head is bowed down, you gently reach forward with your mighty hand and raise it up. You keep me from falling when I stumble.
You watch over me. God, you are my hope. You have been faithful, you are faithful, and you will always be faithful.
You see me. You see me. Me. You know me. You have called me by name. I am created and known by you. The King of Kings, Creator of the Universe, the Mighty One.
You see me and you saw me. And you pulled me out of the darkness and the pit. When no one else saw, when others were unaware-it was you. It was you who called me out of darkness into marvelous and glorious light. You are a good Father.
We may feel we live in obscurity. Others may not notice our external doesn't line up with our internal. We may have it altogether on the outside when our heart is breaking. Measuring up may never be an option. Others may not see or even care. But He sees me and He sees you. When others remain unaware, it is Him. The King of Kings, Creator of the Universe, the Mighty One. In a sea of people, He sees. He calls us by name out of our darkness and pulls us into marvelous light. Find grace and love in Him today. "He is a good, good Father".
