Here we go...

I am married to my wonderful high school sweetheart, and we have a precious baby boy that is 15 months old this week! His name is Cavin, and I spend 24/7 with him (stay at home mom, yes I am a hero).  I love him, but I have to admit the conversation never goes real deep. So...call this my outlet, my only way to communicate with the outside world!!! I will spend a precious few hours a week to share my thoughts with those who care (and really even if it's no one, don't worry, it will make me feel better) - and escape the precious sounds of my baby boy's limited vocabulary of about 20 words (of which his favorite is "cracker" and "poopy") Enough said! I have to be honest I haven't been into the whole "blogging" thing. Of course, no offense if you have a blog. :) Just never thought I would be interested in doing one, and have only looked at a few on occasion. But, here we are. I am starting a blog. Why? Other than to step outside of "momhood" for a few hours a week - not sure yet...

I can say my "journey" has been quite the rollercoaster the last several years. Through the high's and lows, I have learned a great deal about life, relationships, family and most importantly God. And I am still learning!! I admit at times I am bursting to share what I am learning, and what God is showing me. But I must also admit that I am sure as much as my husband loves to hear me talk - he could use a break. And as of right now, Cavin doesn't respond too much to my deep thoughts of the day. So, why not start a blog?

The journey is different for each of us. For some of us it's joy, laughter, excitement and for others its sorrowful, difficult, and long. And if you have lived long enough - it's both! I guess in my short 26 years, I have lived long enough. I have experienced all of the above and more, and continue to experience the ups and downs of life. God and God alone has brought me through each step of the way.

In essence, I guess that is what this blog is - a place to share my humble (and believe me it will be humble) thoughts on this journey called life!
